Well “Life hacks” have been fairly popular as of late, and I decided to put together a nice little life hack/ cheat sheet for those of us in Cedar City, who feel like there is nothing to do, or we just aren’t sure what to do…
- If you need to fill a sugar craving, the Convenient store, right across the hall from bookstore, will GIVE you a FREE fudge sample if you as for one! Now, the sample is pretty small, but it’s a sample, so what can you expect?? But like I said, it really gets that sweet tooth to calm down .
- For those days when you are bored on Tuesday and Thursday nights, the bowling alley (the only one in town), has two dollar days! Now you have to pay for the shoes too, but if you want to play two games, it’s only six bucks! So it’s more like three dollar Thursdays.. but still! It’s a great way to have inexpensive fun.
Many students are LDS (Mormon) know this, but I am handing out a little secret that helped me survive my first week of every semester. They have FREE ICECREAM. Every day. At least for the first week of the semester. PLUS it’s soft serve out of a machine. You’re welcome.
- Lastly, if you need to get a song out of your head, head to Applebee’s! because at Applebee’s on Wednesday, they have Karaoke night! You can watch people make fools of themselves, or you can rock out to ANY song you want. Not to mention if you do well enough, the DJ will give free passes to Brian Head. AND if you go after nine, all food is half off, so go eat and party on a budget!
I hope you enjoyed these life hacks! They have seriously brought me some good times while living n cedar for the past three years.
And one last life hack: the sheep tunnels. Go. Just do it. They are scary and so much fun! If you want a good time and an adrenaline rush, the sheep tunnels are for you! But if you don’t want to get too scared, go during the day.
There! Now you have it. You can never say you ever are bored living in cedar ever again. There is something to do every day the week (at least Monday through Friday!)
