Have you ever wondered about slipping through cracks? Feeling invisible as though no one will see you? Or administration just won’t know who you are? Well I can tell you for certain, here at SUU that does not happen!
SUU makes sure that EVERY student has a place. Whether that place is in SUUSA, joining club, or working with an on campus job. I have found my place on SUUSA, and being involved in my specific department, which is communication.
Another way SUU makes sure you are known and feel welcome, is keeping the class sizes small. With smaller class sizes, it’s not as intimidating to ask a question. Plus you get to EVERYONE in your class. And that is especially helpful if you want to get a study group together, or just wanting to make new friends.
However, there is one bad side to having small classes; your teachers know when you’re gone. And then if they see you later that day, it can get super awkward. Because you either have to fake an illness, (which I’ve never done!) or straight up tell them you didn’t want to go to their class.
All in all, SUU makes sure you are heard, known, and have a place to feel comfortable. So BE EXCITED! Because there really is no reason to be nervous.
