….3 weeks of classes
………4 weeks until finals’ week
……………5 weeks until “freedom”
Wait. Freedom? Here’s where I admit something a little terrifying — I don’t know what I’m doing this summer. According to my countdown, I have less than a month and a half to figure out what it is I’m doing AND where I’m living. Here comes the truth. I thought I had options. But, then the job I applied for turned me down. The internship I applied for thanked me for my time but ultimately said “no thanks” in the end.
So, I had to weigh out other options. I had to create plans C, D, and E. I’d love to travel. I have siblings in Washington, D.C., Florida, and N.C. Why not just visit them all summer? I wish I had that luxury. But, I did most of my traveling last summer. This summer it is time to work, save money, and prepare to complete my education in the fall.
I’m currently debating between staying in Cedar City (for the first time during the summer), moving home, or taking a leap and being a scout camp counselor (let’s be honest, this is completely out of my comfort zone).
What are you doing this summer? I know I have summer fever; how do you handle the last few weeks of school?
I think everyone should experience a Cedar City summer. I vote for that.
PLEASE stay in cedar so I can have a friend! We could have adventures!
Pretty picture! So, I didn’t stay at SUU during the summertime until after my junior or senior year (I can’t remember which). Wow, was it FUN! I wish I would have done it sooner. It is like you own the campus and Cedar City – you have it all to yourself. I recommend it!
