This past weekend I headed up north with some friends for the the Holi Festival of Colors. Holi is a traditional Hindu holiday. For 2 days they open up their temple and grounds in Spanish Fork for some “brightly colored powder, mantra, music and a bit of “holi” mayhem,” (source). Basically you can go around the grounds and temple, listen to live music, and throw colored chalk on each other.
There were SO many people. Last year over 50,000 people attended the two day festival, this year the number was even higher. You can learn more about the festival over here. If you missed the festival last weekend there will be another in Salt Lake City on April 14th at the Krishna Temple.
