My Night With The Globetrotters

Valentines Day is often a funny holiday for those who are not in a relationship. Because I’m not as of now, I didn’t know what I was going to do for fun on Valentine’s Night. Then, my friend Adam and I saw an advertisement for the Harlem Globetrotter’s show here in SUU’s Centrum Arena on Feb. 14th. We bought some tickets, got some dates, and went to the show.

It was a BLAST! The Globetrotters were really impressive to watch. They really had some mad skills. As we sat and watched the Globetrotters vs Elite game, there were several times that my jaw literally dropped. Besides these breathtaking moments, there were also several very funny parts to the show.

Here are a few of the cool pictures I snapped during the show-

Before the show all of the players came and showed off their sweet dance moves. Turns out they were all sweet dancers as well as basketball players!

The Harlem Globetrotter’s mascot was a little guy named Globie had a few different forms. There was a Mini-Globie, then the massive Big-G. This is a picture of him busting a few moves out on the court.

There’s “Goal-tending”, and then there’s Globetrotter Goal-tending-

And then of course, the Globetrotters came out victorious. Champions!

Then, after the game we got a few pictures and autographs from the players.

One more cool thing- After the show, we went to Chile’s for some food. Turns out the Globetrotters were also hungry, because a group of them showed up to eat there as well! We got to chat with them a little more and had a lot of fun.

All in all, this was probably the best Valentine’s Day I’ve had so far in my life. It was really, really great.
