Snowboarding Season Begins!

Winter. What does the word bring to your mind? Some think of Hot Chocolate while others think of shoveling snow. Memories of Santa Claus and snow forts. One thing that I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older, is that sometimes anticipations change. While I still LOVE christmas and everything involved with the winter season (besides slushy snow and freezing cold temperatures in Roosevelt), the thing that I get excited for the most with the winter season is snowboarding.

Living in Roosevelt, I had a two and a half hour drive to get to the nearest Ski Resort. Now that I live in Cedar City, I live 45 minutes away from one. I don’t know if you understand how excited that makes me.. I’m really, really excited.

Lucky for me, BrianHead Ski resort has a soft place in it’s heart for SUU/Cedar City and has cool promotions leading up to the winter season. This week, it was the annual Warren Miller Ski Movie. Cedar city residents could come to view Warren’s new movie, Like There’s No Tomorrow and get cheap day lift tickets to BrianHead. I was able to pick up two day passes for 40 bucks, which is a fantastic deal.

They also had an awesome blow up abominable snowman. ‘Nuff said.

He wants to get to Utah to snowboard/skii... Real bad.

All in all, it was an awesome night. They did a bunch of giveaways and there was a great turnout! I can’t wait to go snowboard down at BrianHead!
